And once again we celebrate the feast in which Jesus hid painted eggs and was both stood up and nailed in between.
Happy Easter.
Dear reader, everyone in between and outside,
A long weekend was coming up, and we were not out against my nature on this sunny, warm Thursday evening, when we then just went for an evening walk to soak up all that summer atmosphere. We watched dazzling personalities sitting there, outside, with their espresso martinis and Aperol Spritz, as if it were a Friday night. How good that I am a person who absolutely suffers from FOMO. Friday was then dedicated to traveling the world - we went from Neukölln to Grunewald.
Why, some Berlin connoisseurs ask themselves, should you do something like this? You show your appreciation, for the sake of politeness, because you've canceled so many times before. An Easter brunch is held in an old West Berlin villa - there is champagne and pasta salad and an immediate feeling of homesickness. Thank goodness pizza and wine are waiting in Kreuzberg.
A rainy Saturday was successfully started with a shopping mission, which in turn ended with a burger and cheese fries. We snuggled up and looked forward to High Fidelity.
Movie
High Fidelity is the best movie after a visit to the record store. It's a fantastic movie in general - 10 out of 10 stars! It's not a good movie if Amazon charges shitty money and you CAN ONLY GUCK IT IN GERMAN! Man!

I love road trips. You cross the Brandenburg and Mecklenburg countryside, all full of rape and cows, and then you find yourself in Bad Doberan - a small town almost by the sea. The air is better than in Berlin, the anticipation gives way to a familiar tension. You can't have everything.
We skip the detail of the family reunion and just briefly mention that the German tradition of egg tossing, combined with sparkling wine, is great fun; that it's always worth being by the sea; and that car journeys can go by so quickly when you're looking forward to home and listening to good music.
April 21
There is nothing, but nothing, better than waking up on a Monday and knowing that you do NOT have to go to work. It doesn't matter how gray the sky is over the capital, you sleep in and take your time to yoga, drink coffee and win at table tennis. Wonderful.
Then you shoulder your cameras - the ALfX215, the MnP36 and the little Sony you like so much (the names are made up and need no further attention) - and a music video begins with a big city backdrop.
Conclusion: Spicy at Curry36 means spicy - this was made clear by the crying cameraman.sometimes it's safer to live as a vegetarian.

We opted for classical music.
The suburban train only kept you waiting for ten minutes and so you sat in the sun with Vivaldi and co. and started The Perfect Storm all over again because you were apparently too unfocused the first time and couldn't remember anything. Sailor stories, pubs in Boston, lovesickness - a movie immediately started playing in my head. Good choice.
Mondays that aren't Mondays because Monday was free and has now suddenly become a Tuesday add to the general confusion and are endured - because you've forgotten your headphones. Nice. Stupid.
A ray of hope: My favorite comedy show has its grand opening today. They're back, tickets are purchased and anticipation builds as the clock ticks closer to eight.
Finally, the gates of the capitalist cogwheel close, you fight your way through the S-Bahn traffic and fidibus - suddenly there's a beer in my hand and a full ship around me and really! Good people on stage. The Brit who finished is a 10 out of 10.Only our host was a bit off the mark.Chris? We forgive you. You're back. Here's to more Tuesdays!
April 23rd
Music
It's Sunday, April 20th, his name is Olli Schulz and he's joined by Jan Janni Böhmermann, followed by Holofernes with Siegfried and Joy - but it was cut short. I just can't listen to her, I don't know what was going on with her voice in this episode. And I'm also incredibly sorry, because these two are simply amazing artists. Hopefully the Kuris will sit opposite each other or something ...
And then we turn our attention to Moritz Neumeier's new program Unpleasant, which we were already looking forward to yesterday.
Mr. Neumeier has made the American style - SIMPLY SCREAMING THE WHOLE TIME INTO THE MICROPHONE - very much his own; it's apparently his most personal program and you can really appreciate that - but you can also take a Moritz Neumeier break for now and wish him all the best.
Movie
A deeply touching, impressive movie: True Spirit.
Found it in an article about movies shot on real ships. Never heard of Jessica Watson before, who at 16 was the youngest woman to sail around the world - in her little nutshell called Pink. I was absolutely hooked by this movie. It may be a bit dramatic, but it's allowed to be.I find Jessica very inspiring, and the performance of Teagan Croft very special.I like how original footage is also used and everything is told in the best Australian style.Yes, I cried. 9 out of 10 stars.

A loved one's past knocked on the door - and three men stood in front of it.Each had once been connected, and each took their own path to be reunited here. It was wonderful.

That was a disastrous start to the day, dear Deutsche Bahn. After two changes and two ticket inspections - which I find insanely cheeky when NOTHING BUT NOTHING is running and working - I arrive at Thursday's place of horror. I want home office as an option.
Yogi-Tee says: “A healthy mind creates a healthy body” - and when I think of creating, I don't think of getting it done, I think of it ges you done. I should also inspire others with my grace and compassion.
WHERE IS THE COMPASSION OF OTHERS, please? shut up, stupid yogi tea.
Well, thank goodness a healthy dose of humour can make a whole day.
With umbrella, charm and bowler hat Emma Peel says goodbye for this week.
And, folks! next week is the 1st of may!!!
